The candidiasis infection is caused due to the microorganisms such as fungi or yeast. As a matter of fact, more than twenty species of Candida have been discovered and the Candida Albicans is considered to be the most common one. However, the fungi can dwell on all kinds of surfaces of human body. Their overgrowth commences under certain conditions such as extra moisture or sometimes the heat. The excessive growth of the micro-organisms is responsible for yeast, fungal, and bacterial infections in the human body.
However, depending upon the affected area of the human body, the infections may be seen anywhere such as genital areas or under-arms, and one can suffer from thrush, nail-bed infections, vaginal yeast infections and so on.

It is observed that about 75% of the patients die due to the systemic candidal disease. Sometimes, the vaginal and mouth yeast infections may be the critical one in the advanced stage. The diseases such as AIDS, leukemia or diabetes may also be the reason of the candidiasis infection.
The people with the weaker immune system are easily affected by the candidacies. As a matter of fact, about 15% of the folks with weakened immune system are affected by the Candida infections. Though, the Candida fungus is frequently observed in the eye, kidney, heart, blood, the fungi may grow in the lungs, spleen as well as liver too. The throat inflammation or esophagitis may also be caused due to the candidal infections.
